First Baptist Church of Millburn

First Baptist Church of Millburn was established on October 18, 1858, by members from Northfield Baptist Church in Livingston, NJ.

Since its founding, the church has been committed to the faithful proclamation of the Gospel and the growth of Christ’s Church.

The church building was completed in 1861, with land generously donated by Isabella Lee.

Over the years, the church has expanded its ministry through church planting, outreach efforts, and facility growth.

FBC Millburn has been served by 23 pastors, including long tenures by Romaine Bateman (1931–1963) and Richard Hines (1976–2021).

Most recently, Dr. Pope (2023–2025) led the church through a season of growth in membership, structure, and giving.

The church is currently seeking its next Senior Pastor to shepherd and lead the congregation forward.
